Lithium or AGM – which should I choose?
Lithium (LiFePO4) lasts 3,000–6,000 cycles vs AGM's 500–800 cycles. Lithium costs more upfront but costs less per cycle over its life. We recommend lithium for most customers.
How many hours of backup will I get?
A 10 kWh battery running 2 ACs and basic lights gives approximately 4–6 hours.
Can I add batteries to my existing system?
Yes, if your existing inverter supports batteries. If not, a hybrid inverter must be added alongside the batteries.
What warranty do batteries carry?
Lithium batteries carry 5–10 year manufacturer warranty. AGM carry 1–2 years.
Does the battery charge from grid as well?
Yes. A hybrid inverter can charge the battery from the grid at off-peak times or as a backup to solar charging.
